ROCKING H CABIN

Located across the road from Teton Village, the Rocking H Cabin is the place to call your home away from home. Rewind time and enjoy all the west has to offer.  This is a one of a kind offering in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. No other property rental is located on the Snake River with direct views of the Grand Teton and Sleeping Indian. With your own personal access to the dike for cross county skiing or walking. You have the privileges to fly fish out your backdoor you. Enjoy your panoramic views from the pavilion built into the trees. Direct views of wildlife that pass to and fro in the forest. Or build a bonfire next to the Snake River with our handy fire pit and ample seating! Nothing is better then being outside in the wintertime surround by the forest, the Snake River and a roaring bonfire. 

Instead of just learning about the west, experience what the west really has to offer. This cabin was originally built as part of the Bearpaw, the first dude ranch in Jackson in the early 1900s. Later the cabin was moved to become a part of the Rocking H Ranch. The Rocking H Ranch is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.  The cabin was built by "Ma Seton" the first white women settler in Jackson, Wy. It was also the first cabin in Jackson to have a second floor. Jack Huyler, world record holding horseman, then purchased the cabin and land from Ma Seaton. Enjoy reading about the incredible history associated with the Cabin and the Ranch. Enjoy the amazing freedom of the ranch horses having free rein of the property. Animal sightings abound with Fox, Moose, Deer, Birds and so many more wildlife viewings!

The cabins layout works well for a couple or large family reunion. The living room with Fireplace has ample seating for all. With Native American rugs and antiques you feel a part of the old west, but you still have Wifi. The renovated kitchen has ample counter space and updated appliances. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare you home cooked meals. The kitchen and living area is then joined by a mudroom with the hallway then spreading out to the three bedrooms, loft and two full bathrooms.

The master bedroom has a king bed and twin bedroom as well as a wood stove. The master bedroom also offers the access to the loft, which holds two twin beds and a reading nook. The other two bedrooms are down the hallway and provided ample room for everyone to spread out.

The cabin holds true to its origination with beautifully crafted log walls and wood floors. But with all the renovations we now enjoy!
